The Valour Emerges
“The genesis of Valour can be traced back to Victor,” reveals Marek Reichman, the creative genius behind Aston Martin’s. He recounts how the Victor, a unique creation, took the spotlight when it was showcased at Hampton Court and earned the prestigious “Future Classic” accolade. Originally intended as a one-off for a lucky customer, the Victor’s award-winning debut turned heads and sparked curiosity. The public’s fervent interest prompted numerous inquiries about the possibility of producing more of its kind.
Reichman’s response sheds light on the origins of the Valour project—a remarkable 705bhp rear-wheel-drive British muscle car equipped with a coveted six-speed manual gearbox, introduced in 2023, a bold move by Aston Martin.

He goes on to note that there’s a resurging appetite in the market for the nostalgic charm of old-school design and retrofuturism. Victor, with its striking resemblance to the One-77, its low-slung profile, dramatic aesthetics, and captivating manual transmission, struck a chord with enthusiasts, garnering substantial attention.
Internally, Aston Martin’s contemplated the prospect of replicating this success by producing multiple Valour models. However, the endeavor would require meticulous planning, especially regarding fitting a powerful engine into a compact chassis, all while preserving the distinctive driving sensation and visceral excitement that the Victor had offered.
