Aston Martin Roars Back to Hypercar Racing
Aston Martin’s long-anticipated return to Hypercar racing is finally here, a few years later than initially expected. In a significant move, the iconic British automaker will now compete with the likes of Ferrari, Toyota, and other formidable rivals for Hypercar glory, marking a thrilling comeback.
Aston Martin’s commitment to embracing its own advice is evident. In the same week it encouraged Valkyrie owners to enjoy driving their cars rather than keeping them as mere museum pieces, the company has made a resounding announcement. The Valkyrie is destined for the legendary Le Mans endurance race!
After nearly four years since initially reconsidering its Hypercar class entry, Aston Martin has given the green light to its return to the pinnacle of endurance racing. The company pledges to field at least one car in both the World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, promising an exciting dual-program approach.

This ambitious endeavor means Aston Martin will vie for victory at iconic races such as Le Mans, Daytona, and Sebring. The racing operations will be managed by their partner, Heart of Racing, a team that emerged in 2020 and has already achieved IMSA success with a Vantage GT3.
The Valkyrie will face off against formidable competitors in the hypercar category, including Ferrari’s Le Mans champion 499P, as well as Toyota, Porsche, Peugeot, Glickenhaus, Cadillac, and newcomers Alpine and Lamborghini in 2024. The era of one-horse racing is undoubtedly behind us.
